My ode to you

While I was dressing up, my mum filled me in that there's a new donut parlour minutes away from home. Forwarded that news to Yadz and we both decided to pay Yummy Donuts a visit.

Got ourselves a dozen to share with the remaining saved for his family. I was suprised that every donut is charged according to their listed pricings. As a result, we had to pay $14.30 for all that. :S Only plus point was that we queued for less than 10 minutes. :D Then again, I don't think it's fair to judge it's number of patrons now because that place is still very new and unheard of. Yadz diggs their donuts though, claiming that they're better than Vinco's. That, I don't think so. But we all still know that nothing beats Donut Factory. :D

After which, we headed down to a toy store over at Arab Street to get Nadirah's birthday present. Lol. Ok, that's not true. Don't worry Nad, we've got something better for you. :) Anyhow, we went there with the intentions of getting my little cousin a birthday present. I ringed her up the day before and she hinted that she wanted a 'microphone'. And so we began our quest, but instead...

we found ourselves caught up with...

big girl/boy toys??

But we finally remained focus with our task and found the perfect gift. :D

Just to be assured that it's in working condition, we tested the toy before making our payment. And boy we had a good laugh when the uncle resorted to using his Cantonese/Hokkianese cassette for a demo. Told him to sing into the mike but he's sure one shy man. So that's our rather hilarious trip to the toy store. :) Following that, we went down to Tong Seng for an early dinner. That sums up to another plate of heavenly roasted chicken rice within 24 hours for me. :)

Continued with our post-dinner walks after that before leaving Bugis for Orchard where we shopping centre-hopped from Wheelock to Wisma to Taka.

Started out with Borders first. Was looking through the postcards when I realised that the price of the postcards have doubled. Bad news. I'm a big fan of their postcards you know. :S That aside, I finally decided to get the pencil tin I've been eyeing on before it increases in price.

Moving on, Wisma came in next. Topman and Topshop are having great sales these days and Yadz got himself a top at 1/2 the original price. :) My happy man.

Taka was last. We visited Mr. Oban Yaki and shared our fav blueberry cheese pancake. :)

I ought to try one of those fish-shaped ones soon. I just find it really thick though.

Anyhow, we decided to join 73238 others at Taka's crazy Toy Sale...

Yep, it was that crowded. I must admit that the toys there are amazingly cheap. Lucky lucky kids man!

I have no idea what that thing is doing there among the mind-enriching toys. :S Isn't it supposed to be M18? But still, I found it cool though. :P I got myself 2 pillows for the car that summed up to a total of 8 bucks only. :) With that, we ended friday at about 10 plus. It was indeed a fun-filled day for us both. I especially enjoyed our trip to the toy store. Putting aside more present-hunting trips in the future, I hope to repeat toy-shopping with him in 10 years to come for obvious reasons. :)

In more random news, I was surfing the web and found a way to simpsonize myself...

to this. I think I make an ugly Simpson. :S Then again, all Simpsons look out of this world. :D

It's been 10 months of priceless memories but I still think that the best way to put it is by saying..

Here's a toast to us both.
